10 Things to Do After Creating Your Blogger Blog
We can’t deny the fact that most new bloggers used blogger/blogspot blogging format rather than wordpress.
One of the reasons is that blogger platform is easy to manipulate and also a free program owned by google.
Now if you already have a blogger/blogspot blog, take note of these 10 things to do after creating your blogger blog.
1. Choose a professional looking blogger template.
We humans love to see beautiful things and if you’ve got a beautiful theme in your blog, your visitors would stick into it some of their time.
Having a good – looking blog can capture your first time visitors and would love to explore what is in your blog. Your theme also reflects what is inside in your blog and most people show their first impression into it.
2. Create a favicon in your blogger blog.
Favicon is an icon image that represents your blog’s brand. You can see a favicon in more websites you visit in the left side the site’s URL adress.
To create one, open your blogger blog “Layout –> Edit HTML”. If you already here, you can see many codes on it. Now, scroll down a bit and you will see the head tag and a line of codes that looks like this;
<head>
<b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>
Under those codes, paste this code.
<link href=’YOUR IMAGE HERE’ rel=’icon’/>
Then change the word ‘YOUR IMAGE HERE’ with your image url address then save it.
3. Optimize your blogger template codes for search engines.
One of the SEO basic is having a meta tags in your blog. Now, what the heck is a meta tags? Hmmm… meta tags is a piece of codes that search engine crawlers and spiders used it to categorized your blog’s content.
To create a meta tag for your blog, paste this lines of codes in your blog’s layout page. Just like the place you put your favicon.
To make sure that you won’t get an error, I suggest that you paste this whole codes till you see the broken lines.
<b:if cond=’data:blog.pageType == "item"’>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title><b:else/>
<title>Make Easy Money with Paid to Click Business</title>
<meta content=’YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION HERE’ name=’description’/>
<meta content=’YOUR KEYWORDS HERE!’ name=’keywords’/></b:if>
<b:if cond=’data:blog.url == "http://YOUR BLOG NAME.blogspot.com"’></b:if>
<!– place future descriptions and keywords here –>
<b:skin><

I was also inspired by other successful blogspot bloggers out there that also competes in a high competitive keyword term “make money online”. In fact, he did push his blog in the number one spot on google serps.
If you don’t know him, he is Alan Liew of moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com

Yeah, we can’t deny the fact that some great bloggers are using Blogspot but for me using WordPress is more easier and helpful as we could optimize our blogs and contents through various plguins and functions.
Then I guess the next steps such as bookmarking and getting traffic – quite same for any type of websites.
However I believe different bloggers got different opinions and passions in using the platform for blogging and how they want to blog – and I’m also inspired by Alan Liew too!

Hello my friend. Don’t believe what are people are saying. Blogger/blogspot blog is highly customizable. Using a favicon in blogspot blog is I think won’t violate the TOS of Blogger.com.
I’ve been a blogspot user for more than a year and I used favicon on my blog. But in some cases, you can check the Terms and Conditions of blogger.com for more information and references.

This is a great list. I would add one thing, which is, to allot a specific amount of time in your day to working on your blog. I find that time is a challenge for many small business owners and since a blog is a brand new time commitment they often fall prey to the “I’ll get to it later” syndrome.
I find it’s more effective to schedule dedicated time for it into your day – this way it has a fighting chance to grow and flourish and be fully integrated into your daily business activities.Thanks for this post,wish you the best.

I personally use wordpress and I used joomla etc before. I think wordpress is easier to edit. I did some research with Favicon and found out that a more well designed favicon decreased the bounce rate. I used a golf swing design rather than a simple design on one of my golf websites and i saw the change. So thanks for sharing that info. All the best.
