Blogging business seems very popular these days. But there are only few who mastered and doing it the right way.

The truth is that, there is only one way of making a blog into business. And that is Niche Blogging or Niche Marketing Strategy.

There are only few successful professional bloggers who does niche marketing even though they already achieve a success on their main blog.

In fact, I knew two person namely, Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income.com and Tyrone Shum of Tyrone Shum.com does a niche blogging duel.

What I like about niche marketing business is that you can generate income on autopilot after you setup your niche blogs successfully and you can also start niche blogging business without spending money using blogger blogs but it is recommended to start with self-hosted wordpress blogs.

Why You Should Listen To Me?

I’ve been blogging since January 2009 and does niche blogging since December 2009. On that time, I experienced the success and failures on this industry.

I’ve gathered various information from different sources and even joined a niche coaching program from the help of a friend. Okay, enough talking about myself and let’s get started.

Niche Marketing 101 Series

Niche blogging is I think an advance method of blogging. Because, what you will share to your blog are those things or information that you aren’t passionate about.

Your duty as a niche blogger is to provide quality information to various topics and niches that you’ve been selected from your research.

1. You need to learn how to do Market Research.

Marketing research is a way of knowing a niche that has low competition with enough demand of monthly searches. Another thing you need to know on this step is how to target those markets that have the potential of earning money.

2. You need to learn how to do Keyword Research.

This is the deep down process of market research. What you will do on this step, is to tap down those keywords to be use as your guide of sharing information and rank that page to search engines, especially to google.

3. You need to learn how to do an Information Research.

Because most of the niches you’ve been selected aren’t your passion, you need to do more information research on your own and share what you learn to the niche blog you’ve built.

4. You need to learn Search Engine Optimization.

Careful Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a method of getting ranks to search engines via link building. Another thing on SEO, is you will do more article marketing. Meaning, you will be doing more submission or articles on directories like ezine articles.

5. You need to learn Email Marketing.

This marketing technique is advisable or recommended on every niche blogger. But this practice can also be optional if you don’t have the budget yet.

6. You need to learn Social Media Marketing.

This technique also is very useful as an alternative of generating more targeted traffic from social media like facebook. Because it would take time (like weeks or months) to get rank on search engines, this is the option for you.

7. Monetization Methods.

Niche Marketing monetizes in two ways. One is via promoting products using your affiliate link and the other one is adding google adsense ads in your blog. Depending on what type of niche you are in.

Getting Traffic on Auto Pilot.

Many people believe that getting traffic and making money on auto pilot is impossible and thinking that it is just a fluke.

How you get traffic on auto pilot? Because of your careful effort of doing SEO and market research, your blog might reach on the top spot of search engine result pages.

Making Money on Auto Pilot. (Optional)

These thing goes almost the same as well. If you do email marketing, you can promote products to your subscribers using your autoresponder.

This is Just the Beginning.

You might think that this is very difficult for you to start. Especially if you are new to blogging industry. Yes, it is. But if you manage right and does it over and over again, you will master the art.

    Hi Felix,

    Niche marketing is an interesting and potentially profitable field.

    As you noted get your target market down and hit it hard. Research keywords and use strict SEO practices. You should be able to target a niche effectively.

    Good one for starters like me. I have done couple of big mistakes done in the begging. I just start my blog without any proper market research. I would like to share them.
    * Start a blog without a domain name
    * My topic is wide open and most of the time I am lost thinking what is my blog is really about. Hard to focus.

    I am looking to start a better blog next time.

    You gave us the important ideas about niche marketing,but trouble with niche markets that do not turn intomass markets is that they soon reach their limit.

    So a nice,which can be so helpful in getting the product off the ground, can soon become a straight jacket.Manufacturer has to find another niche product or another market in which to sell their existing product.

    Good post on niche marketing, Felix! There are many businesses that are careful not to get in too deep with niche marketing because they feel it will ‘dry’ up the prospects. But the thing about marketing niche strategy is, the profits will be there because of the hungry crowd and repeat buyers.
