Let’s assume that you already put up a blog to make money online. Now, your blog is still on the progress to grow up big. And one of your problem is how you nurture and push your blog to the front stage of the crowded audience.

Here is My Step by Step Ultimate Blog Marketing Techniques.

Build an email list.

I consider this as my first technique to blog marketing because even though how competitive the niche you are in, your blog can still survive in the crowded blogosphere. On the other hand, you won’t totally depend on the search engine traffic.

Most newbie bloggers really don’t understand the essence of building an email list. Now, if you tend to make money online from your blog, then you must take this advice that building a list is a great way to convince your first time visitors to become your loyal readers and prospect clients in any niche you are in.

Building an email list is not an easy stuff to do especially if you aim to create a huge list of emails. If you plan to apply this technique to your blog, then you should consider the things below:

1. Create a big launched.

What I mean by this is that, don’t just buy a plan for your email marketing campaign and put the optin widget in your blog and do nothing. For your information, not all your visitors would try to put their email if you only say, “Join my email list”.

Instead, create a huge impact in your first launched. Why not observe what other internet gurus out there? Have you noticed that most gurus launched a single squeeze page and share what they can do for you if you join their email list? Sounds convincing right?

2. Host a subscribing contest.

This is also a great technique where you encourage your readers to join your email list to win great prizes. Then you can also give another good prizes if those people who join your list also refer more people to also join your list.

3. Give free ebook.

Ebook is one of the great medium to share information online. This can be sold for a reasonable price but this is also a great bait for your readers to join your list.

But make sure that your ebook was written by you and have the X-factor on it. Don’t just give a mere PLR ebooks where it has many duplicates. Having your own written ebook would add an impact to your credibility in the niche you are in.

4. Give a free ecourse.

E-course is also a great strategy as a bait to make your readers stick into your blog because of the X-factor information you have shared to your email list members.

Most of your subscribers also feel thirsty for the next course and they just tend to be eager to learn more from you.

You might noticed that I share this idea to you, but you didn’t see me building my own list using any mailing list software.

Well, I am still preparing for that and it might be launch in the near future. I am now in my early stage of creating my own ebook and ecourse. But I already experience to build an email list using aweber in some of my niche blogs that I manage these days.

Right now, I am very busy in keyword researching to find a good and profitable niche. Actually, I am also a member of Niche Profit Classroom as I mention in my previous post.

Blog Post Promotion.

After you published your newly updated post, what are your next steps to do? Of course, you should promote it to get it read by other people.

Now, blog post promotion comes in many ways. And some of these maybe difficult, boring or easy stuff to do but even that’s the case, you must stick for at least 1 week of case study for every method you used.

Here are some of the blog promotion that might be useful for you.

1. Bookmark your own post.

No one knows that your blog post was already published in the first place except you. So, self – bookmarking techniques would be useful as a starting point before inviting other people to bookmark your post.

2. Invite others to bookmark your post.

After you bookmarked your own post, then this is now the moment that you let your blogging friends know that you updated a new post in your blog. Of  course, you can also ask them to also bookmark your post.

3. Host a commenting contest.

I’ve seen this blog commenting contest technique often and it seems that it is still very effective these days.

What I’ve noticed is that, the more you host a contest, the more new readers will come to your site because most of your contestant would also spread the words for you.

4. Host a tweeting contest.

I guess you already knew that twitter is one of the best place to promote your blog post. Not only that, you can also make money from tweeting your affiliate links into it.

If you host a tweeting contest, there are more and more people who would also do tweeting your post. Because the contest is very easy stuff to do for your contestants.

5. Trackback other blog posts.

I thought it was not an effective technique for blog post promotion but what I’ve noticed recently is that, it could be also a great technique to get noticed by other big bloggers.

I was surprised and amazed when a blog post on one of my blogging friends was commented by John Chow because he  did a trackback in one of John Chow’s post. Isn’t great? Why not try it?

Create a Search Engine and reader friendly post.

Before you think of a topic to be discuss in your blog post, you should do a keyword research first which is also related to your niche.

This technique is a good way to promote those keywords you tried to rank for. A search engine friendly article has more potentials to get rank higher in search engines.

But don’t forget also that it must be a readers friendly also so that your readers would also benefited from the information you have shared in your post.

This might be a boring or hard stuff to perform but you can try my advice and ideas below.

1. Keyword research.

You can use various keyword research tools but I recommend google keyword tool because it is free and the fact is that, the information resources is from google itself.

Searching a profitable keywords to promote comes in many ways depending what is your main purpose.

Now, if your purpose is to make money online by blogging, then you need to consider what monetization method you would apply in your blog.

Step 1: If you want to make money with affiliate marketing, then you must do your first step from searching the hottest product in some market places like clickbank and the likes. Make sure that the product has a 7+ gravity to give you more chances that you can make sells.

Note: If you already have a mailing list, you can promote those products through email marketing. Or you can skip step 2.

Step 2: After you choose your prospective products you want to promote, visit the landing pages of each products and search what keywords they are trying to promote.

Try to make a list of keywords with high search volume having low competition. I would recommend the ratio of 1k+ monthly search volume : less than 50k – 100k page results as your competition.

Note: Step 1 – 3 is mandatory if you want to target the audience which came from search engine or you want also to make money through google adsense.

Step 3: Know your competition if you can manage to beat those people who are ahead of you.

2. Optimize your post.

Optimizing your post to search engine would give you the chance to get your post rank higher than you expected and climb up to the top spot of the front page of the SERPS.

To do this, you must consider the steps below:

Step 1: Mention the keyword in your first 50 words of the post. This method would make the search engine robot to immediately recognize of what your post is all about.

Step 2: Bold those keywords you want to promote. Through bolding the font of your keyword, this makes the search engine recognize that word has more valua than the other words of your post.

Step 3: Make sure that it is useful and valuable to your readers and visitors. If your readers have a blog, they might track or link your blog post back and of course your post would earn credit from that.

Conclusion.

After you done the blog post optimization process, your next step is to bookmark it or find readers to that post.

You can do that by inviting people to visit your post in some social media sites like facebook, twitter and the likes.

P.S. Don’t share an information that won’t give value to your readers or else they end up not coming back to your site.
